Frequently Asked Questions on Seminar Pro

What can I do with it?
Seminar Pro is macOS computer software for seminar- and course management.

It is used to register contact data of participants, trainers, seminar-locations etc., plus any information about a seminar or event itself. After registering persons with seminars, then the software can create invoices, confirmation- or invitation-letters and send these out as pdf files, using an included (or an external) email client. PDF files can include a PayPal button, with a link to online payment. From a list of participants, one can send out mass email to inform when change happens.

The software includes a complete information- and document-management system. Documents can be scanned into the database and related to seminars or addresses.

The input screens and the underlying database can be customized to individual requirements, using the software itself. Seminar Pro includes a layout editor.

All output, like invoices or reports, can be in generated as PDF files, as Excel- or Word-documents or as textfiles. By using template files together with the included scripting language, it is possible to create and automate any customized files desired.
How much is it?
Seminar Pro is free.

When you plan to use the seminar database from several computers at the same time, then you need a license for the server database (CubeSQL) plus for each user a server-user license of Seminar Pro.

The CubeSQLServer database software is available from sqlabs.com. They offer a free server license for 2 simultanous connections. 10 simultanous connections cost USD 299.- and an unlimited version is USD 599.-

Individual consulting, customizing and programming is available from us for CHF 1500.- per day.

You can also order a starter customization project for CHF 1900.- which includes analyzing your desired output, adaption of the user interface, customization of 1 invoice template and 1 report, 2 server-user licenses plus online meetings and presentations and remote support using TeamViewer software. Other individually required output will be analized and defined and a binding offer for its creation will be provided. A maximum of 5 days of work is included in the starter customization project.
When do I need a server-user license?
A CubeSQLServer license is required for multiuser access to the database.

In order to allow several users to work on the same database at the same time, a multiuser database system is required. CubeSQLServer can import the SQLite database files of the Seminar Pro single user version and then you can immediately work simultaneously with the same data.
